As we nervously wait for Big Boi and Andre3000 solo records, befuddled as to why two of the south's most playalistic wordsmiths can't find a common ground to work as a team, some dude named HiStakes has compiled a retrospective of remixes, rarities and b-sides to remind us why we must be stoic.
HiStakes trims the fat, so we're only indulging in the meat of these choice cuts – sorry Cool Breeze, but those are the dangers of a posse cut. Man, the 90's were an ill age; Outkast dropping bars over TLC and Monica songs seems odd on paper, but listening to Andre 3000 murder his verse on “Sumthin' Wicked This Way Comes” puts a pit in gullet when he raps “I go through obstacles like a whole box of condoms / you can't forget where you come from.”
Peace to Steady Bloggin' for putting this mixtape on the internet.
