On Saturday, March 22nd, the venue at Rough Trade NYC held its second show after reopening the night before. Elysian Fields celebrated the release of their ninth album, For House Cats and Sea Fans with a headlining performance before they tour Europe. Also performing that night was Melvin Van Peebles Menage A Trois, who had their debut performance that night (the trio features the filmmaker on vocals and “Moist” Paula Henderson on baritone saxophone) and a solo set from Brittain Ashford (of Prairie Empire).

Jennifer Charles' voice sounds as lovely as ever.
