The lotus eating masses gathered at Historic Park in downtown Los Angeles for the 8th annual FYF fest. For those that arrived earlier, they were treated by last minute addition The Orwells or overheard White Arrows cover Springsteen's “I'm On Fire” from beyond the fences. By sundown, the air was perfect for moody sets by James Blake, dance madness from Tanlines, and reunions from Refused and Quicksand.
Day 1 sets included The Orwells, King Tuff, Sleigh Bells, Moonface, DJ Harvey, Chromatics, Cloud Nothings, James Blake, Doldrums, Fucked Up, Future Islands, The Eric Andre Show, John Maus, Hot Snakes, Purity Ring, and Refused, among others.
