Dracula Lewis, the Transylvanian dance drone artist responsible for the track "Permafrost" we posted last month has a new video for his upcoming EP, Permafrost 12" B-side track "Marble Eyez" shot by Simone Trabucchi. The track features the same tall and twisted shifting darkness of "Permafrost" as well as the same big bass feel that gives Dracula Lewis his distinctly hypnotizing yet unsettling aesthetic. "Marble Eyez" is the bigger and more bombastic of the two, though somehow less manic. As for the video, I wouldn’t call it high art unless I were calling it high art, with Lewis ghost-trailing over stars and grainy shots of dog statues, dollars and creepy shots of the moon. Given Dracula Lewis' bizarre sound, big bass and pitch shifted chorused vocals its not too far from what I see when I close my eyes and listen. Except for that dog statue… I'm glad I don't see that fuggin' dog.
Permafrost 12"/Digital EP will be available November 12, 2012 on Souterrain Transmissions. Dracula Lewis is also still set to hit the road with The Soft Moon in November.
