Warm and fuzzy folk-rock-drone-whatevers Human Bell are taking to the road down the west coast and environs, with several dates supporting legendary whatevers Boredoms. Of course, opening for Boredoms is like trying to introduce a small nuclear explosion, but these guys do all right. Note the slow-burn guitars, relentless drums, the post-psych-rock groove, like the music's ready to blow up at any moment but they're just too cool to let that happen.
For Boredoms, the shows at San Fransisco's Fillmore Auditorium and Minneapolis' First Avenue, as well as an appearance in New York on the 30th (without Human Bell, booo), are all going to be “in the round.” God knows what that means exactly, but if it's anything like the 77BOADRUMS experiment, then we'd better prepare to have our minds thoroughly blown.
