NYC: Voiteskhovsky exhibition

Post Author:

Here's a show we're probably going to tonight. Alexander Voitsekhovsky is an artist based in New York and he's got work up for the next few days.

Alexander was born in Moscow in 1964, and grew up in St. Petersburg. After graduating from medical school, he worked as an emergency room doctor for over 10 years, then worked as a psychotherapist at the Bekhterev Institute.

He also traveled extensively throughout Central Asia with archeological expeditions, and was inspired by ancient cave drawings and petroglyphs.

His work has been exhibited throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. Alexander is currently sketching the illustrations for a new edition of Dostoyevski's White Knights, and nothing beats Dostoyevski (or Dostoevsky, depending who you ask).
