John Travoltage, “Silkworm”

San Francisco’s post-punk garage collective with what can only be considered an outstanding name, John Travoltage, is back at it with a new single, fresh for your listening ears. “Silkworm” boasts hard hitting guitar riffs, upbeat percussion, and a large vocal spectrum. Nods to classic American rock from the 60’s and 70’s brings heightened energy to the song, as the narrative rolls along, woven into a hip swayer of a song.

“We wrote ‘Silkworm’ looking back on some times that in hindsight could be labeled as excessive,” lead singer Richie Tubman explains. “It was fun but it sure wasn’t clean. We wrote a tune for that moment, not its memory. It always brings the house down.”

A full-length is expected in 2017. Keep up with John Travoltage here.
