While another favorite of ours has utilized the title “Bent Nail”, it's clear they are in good company. Philadelphia's Nothing, who are often painted as a much darker act than they actually are, released the second single from their forthcoming record this week, and its light no-wave shoegaze is anything but threatening. It's clear that the fourpiece has deep roots in hardcore, what with the culminating double bass-drum toward the song's close, but the lush sweetness of Domenic Palermo's vocals prove that there is a heartfelt side to Nothing that their name does not give away.
Guilty of Everything will release on Relapse Records on March 4. The band is currently on tour, dates for which are below.
