Though a majority of Canadian producer wunderkind Ryan Hemsworth's independent-driven releases come from the man himself on his Bandcamp (he's frequently thrown them online for free download), his first serious “debut” record actually has a real street date. Despite delays, October 22 will see the Last Gang Records unveiling of Hemsworth's Guilt Trips, an album inspired by that feeling exactly, and enhanced by its first single, “Against A Wall”. The producer/remixer's output is marked by warm, giving tones and soothing beats that don't ever fall too hard into the aggressive category—and “Against A Wall” is as gentle as one can imagine. Guilt Trips, as Hemsworth discusses in this premiere video through the Red Bull Music Academy, is going to be an album all full up with #feels. Read our revealing interview with the producer here, then check him out on his tour with Cyril Hahn and Nina Kraviz at the dates below.
