Denver's Tjutjuna was laying low for some time, but we are pleased to find out they were up to awesome things while in hibernation. After several line up changes, the withdrawal of a founding member, and the addition of a new touring drummer, Tjutjuna is seemingly eager to get back in the pool.
We are thrilled to stream their entire new record, Westerner, out April 30 through Fire Talk Records. Westerner opens with a rapturous droning intro before weaving in and out of blissed-out trances, tribal rumbles, and moments of tranquil serenity. There are many ways to describe this album: thunderous psychedelia, sentimental space jams, etc. – none of which do the sound of the album justice. You are just going to have to hear for yourself. And don't worry. You won't be disappointed.
