White Fold is the new project from Cory Thomas Hanson of W-H-I-T-E and Jesse Hlebo, an artist and owner of a small press and record label named Swill Children (this is the first time he's ever produced a record that he's released). It's a chill track full of aural swings, that is reminiscent of Hanson's other work but with an ethereal element that seems less tied to nature and more tied to white, ghosts. It also kind of sounds like something that would be coming out of Britain in the late '90s.
Like all Swill Children releases, this piece of music is a “limited edition download”, with only 50 unique codes being given. Then, each purchaser will receive a booklet of lyrics that are not actually sung on the record. This release concept is obviously non-profitable and conceptual, but it's an idea reminiscent of fine art profit-smashers ike “The Black Box That Perpetually Sells Itself on Ebay“, so maybe people will find it so unique and compelling that they'll have to go into a second “printing”.
