Minneapolis Indie-Pop outfit Share New Single Ahead of Debut Album

Exploring the science behind mental health might not strike you as the usual creative spark in the songwriting process. However, for Minneapolis band Whosahit provided the inspiration for their impressive new indie-pop anthem “Chemicals.”

Produced by Aaron Anktum at Ariel Studios, “Chemicals” follows on from the band’s recently unveiled single “Slomo,” which has garnered loving support from tastemaker blogs including EARMILK, Little Indie Blogs, and Love Music Love Life and reached 25k streams on Spotify.

“Chemicals is about trying to understand each other. It explores the mystery about how our mental wellness is an emotional and spiritual experience, while simultaneously being a physical and scientific one,” lead singer Spencer Grimes shares. “‘Chemicals’ digs into the uncomfortable space between how our thoughts can be both explainable and unexplainable at the same time and pushes us to draw together in the midst of that loneliness and find our shared humanity, our ‘beautiful soul.’ Call it science or magic, I need to know your heart, and be whatever it is.” Listen to it below.
