W-BAR, Barnard College's excellent radio station, hosts a BBQ every year that is free, on a lawn, catered with awesome grub, and always with a lineup that gives us fun feelings. This year is no different. The W-BAR-BQ is this year on 4/27 and the lineup is a can't-miss. It's from 12pm–8pm on Lehman Lawn at Barnard's campus.
Here's what you have to look forward to with W-BAR's very own genre descriptions, for kicks:
Great Mason (DC strange garage)
Kleenex Girl Wonder (NYC/Chicago rock auteur)
Old Wounds (NJ hardcore/sludge)
Chris Forsyth (Philly electric primitive)
Scott and Charlene's Wedding (Aussie pop)
Swearin' (Philly pop-punk)
Speedy Ortiz (W. Mass riffs)
Waxahatchee (Philadelphia truth)
Roomrunner (Baltimore bunge rock)
Twin Sister (BK dream disco)
For more event details, you can check out the Facebook page here. This is the 20th annual W-BAR-BQ, so don't be a loser and miss out, especially given the incredible addition of Joe Sly to their show flier. Clearly a win-win. And if you're in Brooklyn tonight, Waxahatchee will be playing a show at 285 Kent. Come through.
