An EP on the horizon, “Lovebug” is a birthday party homage to the 90s, actually shot on a Panasonic VHS camcorder. Higher echelon vocals stick through most of the track from Monogold, broken up by a short-lived, angelic percussive, guitar burst. “Lovebug” has an active narrative, but still likely made a pit stop at a few thrift stores to ready the cast for that 90s dance scene video shoot.
Monogold’s EP is a 4-track-wonder, finding its way to release during December. Thankfully, a bit further down the pipeline is a full length album, currently being mixed. This Brooklyn-based band can be found on Facebook and supported on Bandcamp.
