Teams sounds like Games in name, not really in practice. This latest track “Dxys xff” (demo) is on that Monster Rally plane — dream-zonked samples lifted from crackling vinyl and repeated ad infinitum. And they call it drag. Whatever.
Just a few days earlier they/he/she/it dropped “Based God” which is a lot closer to the glam-drag-Lil B nexus, which existed, who knew.
And a few days before that they dropped “Freaklicker”, a mix conjoined to some Persona La Ave collaboration. Straight 90s ecstasy and flying cars.
And then also in January, “Stunts”, featuring an otherworldly ass-shot for album art (you may have noticed it, above), and an additional flying car metaphor for the day, which tipped the scale forever towards “porn step”, a genre Teams may have unwittingly coined by putting the two tags “porn” and “step” right next to each other to describe their little “Stunts”.
